Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Terms of Use These Terms of Service govern your use of the Australian American Association Membership Portal ("Portal") including access to the Portal via your computer or mobile phone at the website located at https://www.australianamericanact.com ("Site"), which is owned and operated by the AAA Canberra Division. Access to and use of the Portal is subject to your acceptance of these Terms of Use. By accessing the Portal you accept and consent without limitation or qualification, to the AAA Canberra Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use. Before using the Portal please review these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy carefully. The AAA Canberra may make changes to its Privacy Policy and its Terms of Use from time to time without notice. We shall post the amendments on the Site. You will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to the revised Terms of Use if you continue to use any section of the Portal after notice of the revised Terms of Use has been placed on the Site. Your access to the Portal will commence upon our acceptance of your application for registration which will be confirmed to you via email. About the My AAA Canberra Portal The Portal is an online self-service system which offers a personalised and convenient experience for The AAA Canberra’s supporters and program participants. Users interact with the Portal via the Internet on their mobile phones and/or their computers. To obtain the benefits of the Portal, you must create a My AAA Canberra Account by registering your details with us. We will match the details provided by you against our records to verify your identity. You can then use your registered username and password to log in to the Portal each time you visit the Site. The benefits of the portal include the ability to see and update your contact information and view your support history. Ability to accept Terms of Use You affirm that you are over the age of 18, as the Portal is not intended for people under 18. If you are under 18 years of age, then please do not use the Portal. Your obligations You are solely responsible for any content or material which you post or upload on the Portal, or which is posted by another person using your user name or password. You will ensure that all information you provide to us will be truthful and accurate. The AAA Canberra excludes all liability (to the extent permitted by law) for any loss, damage or expenses suffered by you or claims made against you arising from content or material which you post or upload on the Portal, or which is posted by another person (whether using your username or password or otherwise). Our obligations to you The AAA Canberra will take reasonable steps to ensure the security and confidentiality of material which you post or upload onto the Portal. However, we cannot guarantee against any loss, damage, alteration or misuse of the content or material, and will not be responsible for any harm that you or any other person may suffer in connection with any loss, damage, alteration or misuse of material posted or uploaded onto the Portal. The AAA Canberra will use its best endeavours to provide high availability of the Portal, but this cannot be guaranteed outside normal business hours. We are not responsible for any deletion, alteration, or loss of data due to network or system outages, file corruption, accidental deletion, incompatibilities or any other reasons. We make no guarantees as to server reliability, speed, or consistency, and cannot be held liable for such. Our use of cookies The AAA Canberra website uses cookies to improve the quality of its service. Cookies are pieces of information that are transferred to your computer’s hard disk when you visit web pages on the Site. Your role in protecting personal information By keeping your personal information secure and being aware of security, you can play an important part in protecting your personal information. You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your username and password. Always log-off from the Portal after completing your session, and do not let other people use your My AAA Canberra account. Please notify us immediately if there is any unauthorised use of your account by any other Internet user or any other breach of security. How you can access your information If you have a My AAA Canberra account, you can access, change and update your profile at any time on the Portal. Subject to any legal restrictions, we are happy to advise you what additional personal information we hold about you, should you request this. If your request is particularly complex or requires detailed searching of our records, there may be a cost to you in order for us to provide this information. If you believe there are errors in our records about you, please let us know and we will be happy to investigate and correct any inaccuracies. Fees and charges and cancellation There is no fee or charge for you to register with My AAA Canberra. However, if you access the Portal through the use of a mobile phone or the Internet, your normal phone/Internet charges will apply. There is no minimum contract associated with the use of My AAA Canberra. You may choose to stop using the Portal at any time. Continuation of the portal We reserve the right to discontinue the Portal at any time and for any reason. Disclaimer and limitation of liability This site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The AAA Canberra makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the Site's operation or the information, content or materials included on the Portal. To the full extent permissible by applicable law, the administrators of the Portal and The AAA Canberra hereby disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose. Neither the administrators of the Portal nor The AAA Canberra will be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of or inability to use this site. You expressly agree that you use this Portal solely at your own risk. Quality of information Any errors in the Content that are brought to our attention will be corrected as soon as possible.
